My husband left in June (Fathers Day - I guess it was his present to himself)

I think I might be coming out of denial... maybe he's not coming back this time???

kim83...

Welcome to the board! PG can assure you that there's plenty of support and a multitude of thoughts coming your way.

Ask yourself this question.

"DO I NEED ANOTHER PERSON IN MY LIFE TO BE FULFILLED?" OR "AM I HAPPIER WITHOUT MY HUSBAND AROUND?"

Come up with an honest response and you won't have to worry about denial...simply because you've taken some "baby steps forward" toward a happier life?

Hi Kim... I'm thinking it must be a female thing that we always question, hold out... and wonder.... and sometimes we can do that for way longer than is for our own good!

If it's been since June, I'd say.... to heck with him, and take steps to regain your life.... without him! (at least now you can do that without questioning "what if....")

Welcome to the board.

Hi Kim! I'm new to this board too. I would think if this isn't the first time that he has left and it has been since June, he is probably out. This is just my opinion and it is always easier to solve someone else's problems.....take charge of your life for you and your kids. No matter how much you miss him, whether it is the comforts afforded or genuinly him, you will succeed and survive. Once you gain an inner strength and start making decision for you and the kids rather than deal with what he decides, don't be surprised if he has a change of heart. Be warned, his change will be short lived. I have only been divorced for about a year and it was my decision to end things, but in retrospect....why did I stay so long? I deserve respect and now I demand it. Even from the x. It won't be easy, but you will have a support group to keep your head held high.
