Hello, I am a newbie here with a question....What did you do to tell your ex that you wanted to divorce.I am ready to let my H know but am scared and getting nervous about it. He has a bad temper( Has never touched me or our kids)but who knows what will make one snap.I had read once that someone left their H a letter and left town. That's what I was thinking of doing.Just leave a letter explaining everything and just leave for the weekend. My husband is a know-it-all and I will not get to tell him everything if I don't write it down. There is sooooooo much to say! Am I shallow in my decision? My husband is not a bad guy, he is just a control freak who doesn't help with the kids and has an addiction that disrespects me which he will deny as well. Well maybe he's not that great.......

Do you have a BIG brother. Or a close friend. Maybe It would help if someone was there. Or very close by. Not really knowing your husband, just guessing, he will probably get mad leave for a while then come back and want answers. Don't just leave with kids unless it's a last resort. If you file for divorce, you have to live in area for a minimum of 6 months. Plus the court will have whoever has kids, file for support. If at any time you feel scared LEAVE and call police. If you have someone there when you tell your husband make sure they know whats up. Good Luck

Write the letter, but I wouldn't leave town for the weekend, not with kids involved.

Get a babysitter or have the kids stay over somewhere, tell a friend or someone whats
going on so they will know to check on you,
maybe have a friend call you at a certain time to make sure you are safe.

Write the letter, tell him u need to tell him something, tell him you think you want a adivorce,
are you interested in counseling???

Maybe you may want to contact an attorney beforehand to know where you stand legally too

good lcuk
