I am all yukked out

hello all.. I am mostly a lurker, but need to unload my part today...

I am separated from my ex since 3 years, because he was having an affair with our nanny. We remained on decent terms, actually are good friends.
So much good friends that during a recent vacation, he showed up at our holiday home - and our kid was of course thrilled. We had all a good time (no games or anything) all together, he rested well and yadda yadda yadda, then left.

back from vacation, find a mail from his family, about a house move. I reply to all (silly me... isn't it???), saying that it was a nice surprise that he showed up, we had a good time, we had fun and played games, and I attached a pic of my ex with our kid...

Guess what???? the new GF was part of the mailing. So she received the note, and replied with an incredibly nasty note (to myself only, pretending to reply to his family) stating that "oh, the secret wedding they plan to stage, and how lovely it will be, and how her family will attend".....attaching a pic of them kissing fondly...

note that we are not divorced (I offered a divorce, but so far he did not want it), so there is no wedding in the plans.

I am shocked at the nastiness. in fact, I am floored. Please, tell me if you have any idea: what would YOU do??? nothing???

wow.......

I hate it when gf's feel threatened by us wives or ex-wives enough to take out their frustration with the situation in such a mean petty way.........

I would just ignore it. Leave it be. Be the bigger person. You know what is true and what isn't and obviously if you are still married, he can't marry her, thus making her a liar. Know in your heart that responding would do no good and just know that you are better than she is.

Hugs to you....

Thanks Angelena - and lots of thanks for the understanding. I realize it is not a huge issue, it isn't threatening my life, my kid nor my lifestyle... but it makes me insomniac!

You are of course right. I was just hesitating if forwarding it to my ex (or rather, still current) husband... grrrrr grrrr grrrrrr grrrrrr!!!
