Things have been fairly sane & quiet. He hasnt been causing any issues, has seemingly been in a fairly decent mood when I drop dd off or pick her up. I even LOANED HIM $75 on Sat, b/c things had been so calm for about 6 weeks or so, I was hoping helping him out a bit would keep things on an even keel. NOT so!

Earlier today, freind dropped dd, age 7, at dance & X

I have family members who are Bi Polar. It sounds like he may very well be. Or it could be anxity attacks, which can be just as bad. He really needs to be seen by a Dr. Can you call a mental health Org. near you? They are very heplful. They might give you some advice for your daughter. I don't remember how old she is but can she go to a neighbor if he out of control? Have you told her she CAN call 911? You and your daughter can get help. They can teach her coping skills. On thing I used to do is put headphones on and listen to music when I thought things were starting to escalate with this person. But I was an adult. I knew the signs.
Can you talk with your ex? I know how awful men are about getting help. Please try to get ahold of a mental health org. They are wonderful.

Bi Polar is very hard to deal with. It is to bad that these people can not see the pain that they cause. I have a child who is Bi polar, like their father. On meds, off meds, the ups, the downs, the highs, the lows, no meds, self med. I know the whole routine.
I am happy that your daughter has help. It is good that she has someone to talk to about everything. Does she have a cell phone? If not I would look into those that you can only call like 3 people. My friends daughter has one. She is 6 yrs. old and is diabetic. It is a life saver for her family.
Boy, good luck. Maybe he will get the help he needs before things deteriate between him and his daughter. I know, I know. Lordy do I know.

He is so unstable. He really scares me. Its that behavior that really scares me, it's that behavior that makes me so worried and why I am so concerned that the courts and the GAL does NOTHING. I am so surprised that the GAL does nothing, isn't that what they are for to advocate for the child my lord what the hell???

Seriously I would put HELP ME HANK on that one. No kidding. I'd be getting that GAL fired all day long.

Big Hugs to you Rebecca, you have the patience of a saint I would have lost it by now.

Smile,

Deirdre
