Invoice/Business update

I've been doing the invoicing for our storage business since January 2003 without compensation. Yesterday, the automatic invoice software printed out 18 late notices-- about 15 more than usual! I attempted to call STBX to go over this with him about it yesterday, but he never answered his phone all day long.
So today I called him, and told him about the late notices. He just said, "I got QuickBooks, and I'm doing them now." I said, "That's news to me."
So I called my lawyer (STBX and I have been fighting about the business for the last year) and told her about this latest, and she said, "You know what? Let it go... we're coming to the end of the entire mess, and you're entitled to half anyway." So, I think I will let this go... I'm planning on moving anyway at the end of the month, and ALSO-- I can't wait to see STBX screw it all up. HA HA!! LOL! Our software was specifically designed for mini-storage, QuickBooks is not. When someone is in Lien or Auction, he won't know unless he keeps track of EACH AND EVERY RENTER every day! AND he'll have to keep track of all the fees! LOL The software I have does it all automatically! Tee hee! :-D STBX thinks it's so easy... I'm not going to give the software up until the judge says to. Let STBX sweat a while.

Did you buy the software that you've been using?

My mom loaned us (Yes, a REAL LOAN, LOL-- we REPAID her, unlike the "loans" from STBX's parents!) the $1300. for the software, so the business owns it. I just looked on the Quickbooks website, and they don't have storage software... HEE HEE HEE!!!
I think STBX's tricksy ways will catch up with him, so I won't squawk too much about this. What else can I do, except send out the late notices? Actually, that sounds like a FANTASTIC idea! It'll use up all my personal stamps, but it'll be worth it to have STBX squirming. What do you think?
I use QuickBooks for my business, and I know that they have several new "industry specific" versions... but it's still a pretty general program.

I meant to send the late notices out and not tell him about it to screw around with his head. LOL :-D
The storage software I have is super-oriented to the late/pre-lien/lien/aution/sale process, and each step has to be done at a specific time in the process. Each step has a fee, and a certain type of letter that has to be sent. I can do rate changes (which ahave to be sent to the client at a certain time, and the software remembers when the changes go into effect)... transaction summaries, bounced check, switch renters to different units, I even have our building mapped out, and it shows by color which units are in which step of the lien process. It automatically generates dozens of letters-- late, rate change, bounced check, unit histories... It has a calendar which shows what invoices will be printed out and when... It prorates the units, has all our rate plans, and deducts senior and military discounts... I have all our merchandise on there... I can't see how it CAN be done with any other type of software that isn't made specifically for it. I looked at the QuickBooks site, and they don't have anything that even comes close to the type that I've been using. The software I have makes the process *easier*, although it's not an easy process to begin with. (Hope that made sense!)
