Or does it seem like when you're going through a divorce, all the songs on the radio are either depressing or love songs. First it was Simon & Grafunkel "Sounds of Silence", so I changed it and Karen Carpenter singing "We've only just begun", and then I flip the station and Shania Twain singing "You're still the one". AHHHH! Is the Universe trying to make me crazy? Or is it my ex? From now on I'm only listening to classical or the Spanish station.

I KNOW!!! but it's not just limited to radio...I'm trying to settle down after the kids are in bed - all I want is a good laugh, something to make me smile. So on goes the tv hoping for a comedy...it's useless!! Tori & Dean are full of hugs and devotion, every sappy "I love you forever" movie is on cable, I just can't get a break!

Only when you understand them.

At the time... I made a CD of "empowering" tunes... now I have them in a playlist on my iPod....

I'm very much a lyrical gal, so I really pay attention to lyrics and usually find them meaningful to me in one way or another in life, so having playlists sorted by mood is really helpful when I don't want to hear the mushy crap :-)

I've been working out like crazy, but unfortunately the playlist on my ipod is not very "empowering", and I just can't figure out how to change it...I know, crazy woman who let her STBX do all that "stuff". Anyway, I set the laptop up next my elliptical machine, and play videos from Youtube like "I will survive"- cheesy I know, but helpful. Also, I love to watch the Angela Basset scene from Waiting to Exhale; I love that she shows that it's okay to be sad, fragile, and even psycho after your ex leaves. although I promise I will not set my STBX's clothes on fire...he already took them.

To create/change playlists on your iPod, go to the computer where you library is stored and use the "File", "New Playlist" to create a new list.
