Karen...
I just wanted to let you know that Joey and I made it home safely... we hit a tiny bit of road construction in GA, but it was nothing compared to traffic in the other direction thanks to a big traffic accident, which had the other side backed up for more than 5 miles... (to the point where I felt guilty about being frustrated by hitting a little construction traffic)...
Joey was a mess for the first 30 minutes, easy... he was upset about leaving Chattanooga, which is now his "favorite town in the whole world." He was upset about not getting to the Children's Museum, about not getting to go swimming in the pool today... oh, he just cried and screamed (in that I'm so tired I don't know what to do voice) about it all there for a while... He would see the road signs for Atlanta and he'd tell me to go the other way Mommy, back to Chattanooga... he just had a blast as did I... I hope that you and Blake and Brooke did too (Deb, if you're out there, we missed ya!)...
I have promised him that it really isn't that far away and we'll find some time some weekend soon to go up there for the Children's Museum and to take Mom to Big River... I have talked on and on about how good my lunch was today and she wants to try it... As for me, I'm exhausted and am not looking forward to my week at work this week... Next weekend is Joey's last tee ball game and I just need to rest a little bit... After working a lot of the holiday and the driving this weekend... not that it is a long way from here, but I felt myself zoning out on the way home... that's when Joey said he needed a break, so I was glad he spoke up and we were able to stop and stretch our legs... but I need a couple of days off to recover from my past couple of weekends... yeah, that's it...
*hugs*

But did you tell your mom about RAY.... or was that just me :-)

I missed you all too :( I saw the pictures and it looks like everyone had a good time. The pictures looked BEAUTIFUL! The colors are so sharp.
Jacob made the championship for the tournament he played in-traveling all stars-and they took 2nd place. They played from Wednesday through Sunday. There's another tournament next week or the week after....we'll see.
I'm sorrry I could'nt be there. I kept thinking "I should be in Tennessee right now". Money is a huge issue with me right now. I have to figure out what I'm going to do to get by. First thing is I'm calling my lawyer to have him file the papers for contempt on PS. His judgement is up to $50K (interest accrues-originally it was 38K) and just tallying up expenses for the last few years plus child support (havent seen a dime since March), the total is up to 14,000. Jeez, if he would pay me what's due, I'd be just fine.
I should be getting my work comp settlement soon as well. (hopefully within a few months). Which WILL help for sure!
As soon as the money situation gets better, I will call you so we can hopefully do this for sure!!!
Again, I'm sorry I missed you all (Julie and Karen and kids). My kids are definitely bumming too. I just want to take them somewhere-we hardly go anywhere (except Florida). We are going to FL on Thanksgiving ONLY because My dad is paying for the trip. Just sucks.
Have a great day!!
Deb
Well, with ball, it wouldn't have been a good time anyway... all stars and championships.... those things are here and now.

Yeah, maybe I should tell her about Ray... he cracked me up... I definitely enjoyed lunch for all sorts of reasons... :)
You know, I have to tell you that I was really impressed by Brooke and Blake too... they seem to have such a good relationship and it is something to really be proud of... As an only, I'm kinda jealous... that's one of those things I've always wanted but will never have, you know? I really enjoyed meeting them though and hope that they have a fabulous time on their trip!
Joey and I are still exhausted today, but he's still talking about everything... He had to take his new Shark book to school today to show his friends because its cool Mommy... and had lots of fun telling my Mom about how much fun he had swimming and seeing the fish at the Aquarium... of course, my stories at work included my quick entrance into the pool on Saturday night. The mark on Joey's chest is almost gone and my scratches are almost healed...
I will email you the pictures I have... the one of you and Blake and Brooke is one of my favorites... as I crossed back into GA I realized that we never took that group shot... well... there is reason enough for us to do it again...
Oh and on hearing anything... still haven't heard anything... but, a friend of mine at work just took another position upstairs and she mentioned something about hearing good things about me and it... I forget the way she put it and I'm still being indifferent, but it was good to hear, you know? Who knows what it means...
*hugs*

Deb...
I'm glad to "see" you... Karen had told Joey and I about your son's baseball tournament... congratulations to him for doing so well... Joey's tee-ball finishes up this weekend... he's a Texas Ranger this year and is so excited about it!
We'll definitely have to stay in touch and get together when things start to improve... I'll be thinking of you and sending lots of stay sane vibes... at least we got the best of our x's with our children!
*hugs*
Julie
I don't know.... I think my kids have MORE of "me" and less of HIM.... or so that's what I choose to think anyway.

Thank you.... for the most part they do have a great relationship with each other.

You know, that is really cool about OW... I think that it is great that that door of communication is opening more... and I completely get how you don't want to be or need to be best friends, but having that open comfort level would help immensely as she also plays a role in their lives...
I would rather eat nails than speak to xh's fiance, but fortunately since he's out of state, that isn't even an issue... I know there will come a day, but when that day comes I plan on smiling through it (even if it means biting my tongue to do so) and then coming here to vent afterwards!
And as You can probably all ready tell, someone forgot to send the pictures today.... I'll try to remember to send them tomorrow...
*hugs*

He has another tourney this week and probably one next week too. I'm tired. I'm to the point of wishing baseball was officially over! this is his 3rd year on the traveling all stars....it's a great team, and a great honor, but I'm tired~!! LOL...I do enjoy watching him though!
Karen, I'm AWFUL lately on emailing (as I'm sure you guessed). I'm super busy with work, then run all night til 10 with baseball. last month, for work, I was required to bill 165 hours for the month--I billed 276 and worked every bit of that....absolutely insane!!
I'll try to get better with emailing...I promise!
Deb
I know you're busy... and that you need an "out" sometimes yourself ;-)
