Wow...my life is just so crazy!

I moved out while he was at work last September. It was the fourth time in our 18 years together. I had to sneak away because the abuse was getting worse.

I got an apartment and filed for divorce. The 6 months I had my own place was rocky to say the least, had to leave college (judges orders) had several short term jobs, car wreck, rape, it goes on. He moved his GF in and their dogs combined was trashing and eating the marital home..geesh!

I was evicted in April due to late rent payment. The stbx let me and my granddaughter move back in. I got a new job, then had surgery and ended up losing my job due to complications and very slow healing.

These 3 months with him has been hell. He is an alcoholic...so you can only imagine what its like when he's drinking!

So, he took off on July 4th, tried to hook up with his exgf, didnt work, so he hooked up with another floozy he has been fooling around with. He came back the next day and ordered me out in a certain timeframe so he can move the new woman in. Crazy! We are 38 and 43!

So I am moving in with my oldest daughter this upcoming weekend. I have to give up my French Bulldog to a rescue as I cannot take her.

Our divorce is not final. He is now trying to say that some of the stuff I brought back and stored in one of the bedrooms I cannot take back out with me, my lawyer says I can....but I have called my attorney and left messages and he hasnt responded.

It's going to be bad...really bad this weekend and I am just so stressed that my doctor has me going for an echocardiogram, stress test and I have to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours..geesh I hope I am not dying yet!

Thanks for just reading...

Copper,

When you go to leave the home this weekend ask for the police to be there. It doesn't mean he'll be arrested, it means you need protection. Take an "inventory" of your belongings and make sure this paperwork is available to show police when you leave. Your STBX can't prevent you from taking your own belongings with you but you need to make sure they're documented. (i.e. if he plans to make a stink about them later, you'll have a list of what he is making a stink about.) I'd also buy a disposable camera and take pictures of all your possessions. Those photos may come in handy too.

Good luck.
