legal sep- now he won't sign for divorc?

Anyone go through this before? We have a legal separation that we both agreed would be filed as our divorce papers when one of us filed for divorce. Because it is a legal separation using a mediator instead of litigation, both of us have to sign the divorce papers. We AGREED to this so that it would not be an ugly divorce. EVERYTHING from the kids to the house is already worked out! I signed weeks ago and he won't sign.
The attorney we use is jsut as frustrated as I am. He refuses to return her emails or calls.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?!?!?!?!?

No I am sorry I don't. Please keep us updated. This would be a scenario I would dread. Sounds like maybe you are headed back to mediation over some issue about which he has changed his mind.
I am so sorry. Hope it gets resolved peacefully.

Has he given any indication as to why he's not signing?????
Send him a letter stating that you'd hoped to work things out amicalbly and have the separation agreement used for the divorce, and if he doesn't sign the papers... or respond if something minor needs to be considered for adjustment, and you will file and have new papers drawn up to be present to him by a process server.
He may think that he can stop or drag the process by not signing, but the facts are.... you can divorce him either way :-) it just might cost more time and money.

We have a bizarre relationship, and have pretty much since early on in our marriage.
I think he has some serious emotional issues---he briefly went to counseling and didn't like what they had to say, so stopped taking his meds and stopped going all together.
He just can't (won't?) handle resonsibility, and has been verbally abusive for years as his way of coping. He has also lied about finances big time.
He changes his mind every other minute about whether or not he is willing to "work" on things, and I am (finally) ready to get off this roller coaster ride.
He doesn't want to be divorced, but won't put the work in to fixing anything. ENOUGH!!!!!!! He doesn't even want to change the agreement, he just doesn't want to sign it. It must be nice to stop by and see the kids and be a husband when you feel up to it!?!?
Assuming he's not planning to sign..... ask your attorney what you do next to keep things progressing.
Keep us updated!
