I spoke to my attorney this a.m. and took her through the "going-ons" since Friday night. She couldn't believe his actions, phone calls, comments, etc. She gave me a list of stuff to gather and asked a ton of questions. By mid-day she'd emailed me a couple documents to review. She is referencing the alcoholism and actions related to that in the filings, including examples. She is also going for dessertion since he cut me off from the joint checking account on Friday night. Additionally she is seeking sole legal custody for me and at this point we are not including any type of visitation document. She said if he wants it he'll have to file for it himself. I agree. Honestly his actions over the weekend scare me a little. And I'm concerned once he is served (at work--since I know they can find him there on Thurs. or Fri.) it may push him further over the edge.
What a mess this has become. He is so angry because I

Ah, Movingon,
I have tears in my from your reading your post.
You're going to be okay.
Thanks ladies. Your words are comforting.
I received some emails from my attorney this a.m. Then this afternoon I received a "confirmation" email from the admin emailing me the PDF of the documents they filed on my behalf today. So it's filed. The attorney told me Monday it would take probably two days from when they put in the paperwork for him to be served. So if that holds, it could be Thursday.
I'm not sure what to do...hide or go about my normal business. I'm not ashamed of how I'm having him served at work...it's where I know he'll be and at this point I'm beyond worrying about his feelings. I'm more worried about his reaction and what he'll say or do. I do not want confrontation after he's served. I just don't need it. I don't want it to escalate the situation & his emotions--that will only create more problems for him. I just don't know what to do...I need to email my attorney and ask if we can get any kind of "head's up" as to what day it's going to be. Has anyone else ever done this and maybe know?
I'll keep you all posted.
