STBX came over today, and he helped me install 2 new lighting fixtures at the house (actually, he did MOST of the work-- wiring scares me). Afterwards, STBX, 18 y/o DS and I were in the dining room. I told STBX, "Thanks for helping with the lights. I appreciate it." STBX was sitting down, and he motioned to me to sit on his lap as thanks. I was shocked, and said, "Thank you, but no thanks." He then took his cell phone, and clipped it to the front of his pants, by his crotch. I just looked at him. THEN, he stuffed down the front of his pants and said, "Is that a cell phone in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?" He giggled and thought it was hilarious. DS was still standing there, and I said, "Bob, do you really think that is appropriate to do in front of your son?" He said, "He's an adult."
So I guess I have progressed. My counselor said that whenever STBX makes suggestive comments to me in front of the kids, to ask him what he was intending, and ask him if he thinks it is appropriate-- in front of the kids, of course, so that they know it's not appropriate behavior. It feels good to throw it back at him and watch him squirm, for a change. :-D

He said "he's an adult"?????
