I am relatively new to this...been contemplating divorce for a while, but just recently had a LONG talk with the H about our future (or lack there-of) and have decided it best to move on before we end up resenting eachother, as so many often do. Things are pretty amicable and we have a two year old son together, plus a house that is in both our names. Other than that, things are pretty simple, no credit card bills, no car payments, etc. I've heard about mediation, but am not sure what this consists of, although I've heard it's supposed to cut cost, etc. Anybody know anything more about this or have any advice as to where to go from here?
TIA-
Jenn

Hi~
Mediation isn't always necessary.... I suggest that you talk to an attorney to find out what's required in your state, and what will happen as far as rights and responsibilities, and go from there.
