It's Hump Day.... if you're here, say "HI!" and share a favorite quote or two.
Here are 2 quotes that I liked that I ran across recently....
We have a choice: to plow new ground or let the weeds grow. -Jonathan Westover

I'm a big Harry Potter fan, so this is one of my favortites:
"It's our choices, Harry, that show us what we truly are, far more than our abilities." - Albus Dumbledore, The Chamber of Secrets.
And I thought this one was interesting, too. I've been reading a book of speeches by the Dalai Lama, and liked this one:
"Although a person may be in a hostile environment, if one's mental attitude is firm and stable, the hostility will not be a cause for much disturbance. Without inner mental stability, or the right mental attitude, one can not be happy, calm, or at peace, even if one is surrounded by the best of friends or the best facilities." -
Hello Ladies,
This is from a song by Heather Headley - In My Mind:
"They say if you lost something you've got to let it go. If it comes back then it means so much more".
"But if it never does then at least you will know. It was something you had to go through to grow".
Lately for me this has been close to my heart. Not that Im saying I would ever take ex back if the situation presented itself but with all the new emotions and learning how to not let HIM know he's getting to me Ive had my ups and down lately, feeling alone at times missing the idea of when we were together and things were good.
Today is his birthday by the way. I let ds call him this morning. I even got him one of those little "daddy b-day" cards. Im trying. Today is a good day for me.

Yes Indeed. lol
Growing feels great actually. I feel for ex at times for the lack of growing. He seems to fight it at all cost. But I guess there is still hope right? LOL. Well he's done a little growing(he's been civil for now, lol).
It was hard but I did alot of soul searching and forgiving and Praying to get to this point. I know I have setbacks at times but now they are minor as before they used to be MAJOR. It feels damn good. I dont want to be enemies with ex at all. Sometimes I see the hurt and pain in his eyes and I just want to reach out to him and give him a hug or something. But I think that would be too much. At least now.
I look forward to see what the future holds.
I couldnt have done this without you and all the other wonderful ladies on this board.
Hello ladies. Good news today! I finally heard from my attorney's office. They faxed me a draft copy of the letter to be sent to STBX's attorney in response to their proposed settlement agreement. It was supposed to be sent nearly a month ago. I faxed some changes and comments back to them to revise and send. Hopefully it will be in the mail today or tomorrow. I have no way of knowing how long it will take for STBX and his attorney to respond, but my attorney is trying to get a hearing date scheduled. I'm hopeful that one we have a "date" our attorneys will get their acts together and quit putting us on "the back burner".
My favorite song this week:
Artist/Band: Atkins Rodney
Lyrics for Song: If You're Going Through Hell
Lyrics for Album: New Songs
(Before The Devil Even Knows)
Well you know those times
When you feel like there's a sign there on your back
Say's I don't mind if ya kick me
Seems like everybody has
Things go from bad to worse
You'd think they can't get worse than that
And then they do
You still walk the straight and narrow
And you don't know where you are
Use the needle of your compass
To sew up your broken heart
Ask directions from a genie
In a bottle of Jim Beam
And she lies to You
That's when you learn the truth
If you're going through hell
Keep on going, Don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there
Well I been deep down in that darkness
I been down to my last match
Felt a hundered different demons
Breathing fire down my back
And I knew that if I stumbled
I'd fall right into the trap that they were laying, Yeah
But the good news
Is there's angels everywhere out on the street
Holding out a hand to pull you back upon your feet
The one's that you been dragging for so long
You're on your knees
You might as well be free
Guess what I'm saying
If you're going through hell
Keep on going, Don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah, If you're going through hell
Keep on moving, Face that fire
Walk right through it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there
If you're going through hell
Keep on going, Don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah, If you're going through hell
Keep on moving, Face that fire
Walk right through it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah you might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah.
Hello everyone. Here is a quote I hear on Oprah this week.
"A mother who radiates self-love and self-acceptance actually VACCINATES her daughter against low self-esteem" Naomi Wolf
Hey there... I'm here today as I had Jury Duty and then got excused because the case I had been assigned to got settled just before trial...
I'm a bit on the brain dead side today as far as quotes go, so I'm afraid I won't be contributing, but wanted to say hello!
*hugs*
Julie
Hi everyone. Today is a hard day for me. The stbx is working on me through my guilt issues, and I'm letting him. *sigh*
That said....I came across a quote today that was music to my ears...or my eyes! :)
