I had to flee my family home for me and the children's safety. So my husband is now residing there with his new girlfriend. We have been living apart for three months with no legal separation or divorce. Neither of us has been to a lawyer. Not for a lack of trying on my part. I've been a stay at home mom and can't find any help. I don't have the money for a lawyer.
Last Friday I had to call the police on my STBX. He called and was bothering me about lord only knows and I told him he wouldn't be having unsupervised visits with the children anymore especially since there is no visitation order in place. He started screaming that I couldn't do that and what not. He has been refusing to help financially with the kids and refusing to allow me to get the rest of my things, the baby's essentials (crib and etc), and my son's toys. He claims since I wasn't working a job, they are his toys because he bought them. I outlined the reasons why he wasn't going to be seeing the kids unsupervised. He drinks all the time, he abused me and even swung a baseball bat at me while I was holding our oldest (his response to that one was I shouldn't have been holding him), he threatened to kill our youngest, and now our oldest is taking after him and punching walls at the age of 2. He started saying he was going to come over and beat the crap out of me and etc. So I called the police and guess what..... I had it all on tape. So I pressed formal charges, we applied for a restraining order against him and his family for me and the kids, and I now have emergency custody. The police officer also told me another helpful thing. He told me I could break into the house with an officer present and retrieve my things because the house is still in my name. He also said if my husband's girlfriend was there I could have her removed for trespassing also.
Well so I went a broke in last night to get my daughter's crib, the rest of my clothes, and my son's toys. It was disgusting. A month back my husband asked me for my wedding ring and engagement rings back, I refused. Well his girlfriend has modern bride coming to his house. There were also piles of clean clothes in the living room and half the clothes were mine and the other half my husband's. So he has been dressing her up like me. He still has out our wedding cards and reception guest book. He has a lot of little reminders of us laying all over his house (ones from our wedding and etc). Plus he has her wearing my clothes. Seems to me like he is so obsessed with me he moved another woman in to try to mold into me. What he doesn't realize is she'll never be me. He is sick. No wonder he wanted my rings!
On top of that my daughter needs eye surgery that has to wait until she is nine months old. She is only 4 months now.

He does sound sick! Stay safe, and you're doing the right thing. Just take it one day at a time.
Hugs,
Susie Y
