Hi, I am two months into my six month waiting period (in Michigan) and have 3 young children and 9 years of marriage with my STBX. I am looking for a book about moving on, helping my kids cope (my oldest is 6) and how to stop thinking I made a mistake and feeling guilty about choosing to finally end things. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I went through a lot of books while working towards healing. "Rebuilding" by Bruce Fisher was the most useful.

I read alot of books before, during, and after my separation, but the one that made the biggest impression is "Breaking Apart: A Memoir of Divorce" by Wendy Swallow. She really opened my eyes to expecting the unexpected, though HER version of unexpected was that her XH stepped up to the plate and became a great parent, while mine went the other way. Wendy also wrote a sequel, "The Triumph of Love Over Experience: A Memoir of Remarriage" which is also an eye-opener. It really helped me see that there's a good future ahead of us all!
