and I don't know why. I came into work bright and early and within 3 minutes, felt like crying and curling in a ball. I haven't felt like this in a couple of weeks (except for the weekends.) I can't explain it -- nothing's changed. I had a good night last night at the bookstore by myself and have a busy day today, but just want to quit.

I feel for you. I found a quote that hopefully can lift your spirits.

The marvelous richness of human experience
would lose something of rewarding joy if
there were no limitations to overcome. The
hilltop hour would not be half so wounderful
if there were no dark valleys to traverse.

Hello,

I am sorry you are having a rough day. When my stbx said we were through in early October, I could hardly make it through the day without losing it. I teach seventh grade so it wasn't a pretty sight. A coworker of mine sent me an e-mail one day that I can never thank her enough for. She included the following passage from a devotional book called "Streams in the Desert".

"Never doubt God. He will restore your life again. No matter how many twists and turns the road may have, there is always one smooth, straight portion. Even the longest day has a sunset, and the winter snow may stay quite some time, but it will finally melt. He will turn to you again and comfort you."

I wrote those words on a notecard and I carry it with me everywhere I go. I know that the twists and turns really get to me, but I am always moving toward that smooth, straight stretch. The hard days seem to set me back a bit, but we will both get through them. Please don't quit. We all need to stick together.

Hang in there, you will survive. Since everyone is sharing quotes/poems, I thought I'd pop a good one in there too! I don't know your religious beliefs, but my are very very liberal and I still feel very touched by this one:

I asked for strength, and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.

I asked for wisdom, and God gave me problems to solve.

I asked for courage, and God gave me danger to overcome.

I asked for love, and God gave me troubled people to help.

I asked for favors, and God gave me opportunities.

I didn't recieve what I wanted, I recieved everything I needed.
