Hi,
I'm new to this message board, I really enjoyed meeting people on the expecting message boards and it would be really nice to talk to some of you who are going through similar situations. My husband or STBX and I will be getting a divorce at some point. Not really sure how long it takes or what exactly I need to do to file for one. I have an appoinment with a lawyer on Tuesday to help me with that. My husband and I just don't love each other. He told me that he's been unhappy since I got pregnant with our first child. He's been really negative and puts me down every chance he gets. Trying to make me feel like I'm a bad mother, he makes a big deal if one of the kids has a full diaper and acts like it's been like that all day.

We have two beautiful little kids together. They're too young to know what's going on, but I really think they could feel the tension between us. I moved out and I'm staying with my parents until I can get on my feet. Which will hopefully be really soon. I don't want to put my seven month old in daycare just yet. I'd like to wait until she's at least a year old.

I look forward to meeting/chatting with some of you. Good luck with your divorces. Don't hesitate to e-mail me at lmd77@hotmail.com.

Sincerely,
Liza

Oh wow.... reading your post made me think about an Oprah episode that aired last week with Scott Peterson's sister.... and the interview with the psychologist that was explaining how some men change when their wives get pregnant.... and realize that *they* won't be #1 anymore, and a whole bunch of other stuff!... and not that your STBX even slightly compares to Scott Peterson, but I think that it's a very common feeling when the family goes from we to three!

I'm glad that you are talking to an attorney to find out exactly what your rights and responsibilities are.
