Hi, I've been married 5yrs now and have put up with so much. I've been on the verge of divorce for about 3yrs now. I've haven't gone through with it because I keep trying to make it work. Key word "I" keep trying. He isn't trying at all. I know everyone's reason for finally giving up is different. But how did you know when enough is enough??

ykandi22z...

One man's viewpoint from PG:

One partner CAN'T make a marriage.....a marriage requires 2 people who want to invest an equal amount of time, are willing to compromise, deal with each other's shortcomings fairly, and continue to LOVE each other in the process!

In other words, both halves of a couple WANT to make marriage work more than anything else.

If 1 partner is doing ALL the work and the other is disinterested (or is constantly sitting on the bench)....THE GAME IS OVER!

Suggestion: Find a good marriage counsellor who can understand and comment on both sides of your story and situation? If you "can't get no satisfaction" that way....then you might want to look into a divorce lawyer?

Good Luck!
