Why is it that no one can give me an explanation as to just what child support is to cover? I spoke to my child support enforcement case worker and she said there is no such thing. My attorney can not give me an answer, I've looked online and still nothing. My ex pays child support and not one penny more. He lives far from us, so he does not contribute to the every other weekend expenses either, which would help financially if he was feeding/entertaining them every other weekend, but I absorb that cost too. My son plays football, soccer, basketball and baseball for the city team(s), each season costs me $60-$70 in registration fees, plus footwear for each sport, uniforms, gear etc. Ex thinks this is part of child support and will not contribute any money towards it. Daughter wants to take art lessons $110 per session. Again ex says this is covered in his child support and will pay nothing towards it. Homecoming this week, dress $55.00, shoes $30, hair $25, etc. Again, ex thinks this is all included in his child support. Is child support for the basic neccessities like food, shelter, clothing? Is every single thing these children do, want, need, etc fall under a basic need? I would like to hear how others handle this. Thanks!!

Hmmm, sorry to disappoint again but I am not sure what to tell you at this point other than to ask what was stipulated in your divorce/CS Agreement?
In mine, it was stipulated that he would be financially responsible for 1/2 the expenses of extraciricular activities, medicines and medical co-pay(s).
Peace,
Di
