I got your little package today in the mail... and I am looking forward to my reading, especially with THE lunch being tomorrow.... (think of me and how many shades of red I may turn tomorrow afternoon)... and with Joey's comments today to LOL at, and with the stress I had at work today, well... I'm looking forward to the reading...

I did not see a couple of pages though and was hoping you could scan those and email them to me... pages 402 and 403 are missing... would you mind? :)

Thanks again for thinking of both Joey and I... I was surprised with the extra pages you included... had I told you when the other's birthday was?

*hugs*

Julie

Oh goodness, we have the same child living with us. Gracie HATES brushing her teeth, but it's made better by getting the bubblegum flavored toothpaste because, as she says, and you're gonna find this familiar, "Your toothpaste burns my mouth." At least that kid stuff is good toothpaste. It pains me when it's toothbrushing time. Rosie is SO good about it, especially now that she has braces, and Gracie fights it at least once a week. But both girls love the dentist!!!! Thank goodness for small favors.

Yesterday was decent. Today MIGHT be good, if the small oil leak under my engine turns out to be that the dealer didn't tighten something when they worked on my car two weeks ago. If I need a new something-or-other and it's going to cost an arm or a leg or both, then the day will suck.

Tomorrow, on the other hand, I get to go to a meeting and just sit and look pretty and perhaps pull out that infamous, "I'm a girl and I'm stoooopid!?" thing. At least this is not work-related.

Darn, Julie, I wish you could read the board at lunch or something!!! It sucks not having responses from you in the middle of the day!!!!

Karen, hope you're around...... And glad you had a nice trip yesterday. You were missed.

My day has started off like this:

No return phone call from the people who were interested in my van over the weekend :-(
I can't find my favorite ink pen :-(
Brooke *said* she gave my back my iPod cable (the one that hooks the music up to my computer's speakers), but I can't find it--no music :-(
I lost my phone this morning :-( (but found it in Brooke's pocket!--our phones look just alike)

*L* I thought my day was jumbled.... but yours is worse.

We got some samples in that I wasn't supposed to deal with, but the guy who WAS supposed to do it planned other things on top of it so I got stuck. (this is the phone/wife guy)

The car needs a valve cover gasket, so I'll be out $380 because I had the bad luck to buy a V6 engine 9 years ago.

I DO have music because we only have a CD player in the lab, so I burned copies of all my favourite CDs a while ago and now all I have to do it pull them in here when I want to hear something!

But the cleaning people, or my idiot coworkers, stole my pink post-its. We have over 50 packages of post-its, but heaven forbid someone else open a new pack. *rolling my eyes*

I hear ya, sista! The new oil pan should have, IMO, been a freebie since they're the ONLY ones who ever change my oil, and the oil pan plug threads only go bad when the changer screws up!

So once again, I had to cover for my coworker and finish HIS work this afternoon because, "I gotta go right now. doctor's appointment last minute "

Then my boss tells me that the WIFE had an appointment and is totally incapable of dealing on her own. *rolling my eyes*

Thanks for the post-its! And here I thought the PINK would keep everyone away from them. *pout*

Wow Calla... too funny about our children... I haven't bought the bubble gum toothpaste yet... just realized I should have done that when I was at Target buying Joey's sleeping bag for his summer camp this year... they have so many activities, but most of them are surrounding a camping theme... or close to it... I could feel guilty about working most of the summer and not taking much time off with him, but he has so many fun activities with this school/camp...

This week they've had two field trips... one to a park with water fountains and another to an arts center... tomorrow is water day at the school... Monday, there's a trip to another park and while we're in Disney, he'll miss THREE field trips... and then will have bowling and another park and fountains trip the week we get back... other highlights include movies, pizza, a science center, moon bouncers, train museum, Centennial Olympic Park, State park, Imax movie, roller skating, World of Coca-Cola (brand new--just re-opened last week), a reptile show, ice skating, the zoo and an end of summer hula party... I pay increased child care during the summer--but there are never any extra charges for any of these trips, so... I do feel like I get my money's worth and he talks so much about them... and is exhausted every evening... :)

I had an oil leak that was the dealer's fault this week (this is really crazy how all of these coincidences are popping up)... they fixed it on their dime... hope it works out the same for you...

Reading board during lunch... hmmmm... that would be nice... with the old style boards (eons ago), I used to be able to do that... now that message boards is in the address, it would never happen... BUT... maybe I could take my lap top in and try to find somewhere my wireless could connect... hmmmm

and I just sent you an email...

Well... today is the day that I would have been on the board all day instead of doing my work, if I could have because I felt completely and totally un-motivated today... I did manage to do a couple of things, but not much to tell you the truth... and I feel the crunch and its not helping me stay motivated either...

Tomorrow, I finally get to meet with the overall director for our group... the one that took over a month ago and said that it was critically important for her to meet with all of us so she could get to know us and what we do and where we want to go, etc... if it is so critically important, why has it taken over a month to get to me? Hmmmm... I don't remember what the rest of my day has on tap tomorrow... I'm just glad that this Friday is finally here--I mean, Disney next week people... :) woo hoo!

I am feeling a little bit bad for Joey tonight... and it is totally stupid... but xils are going to visit xh this weekend... they're not taking him, so they don't want him to know... (which I get and yet I don't--perhaps if he knew, he'd want to send something to xh with them... )... Joey's first t-ball game is this weekend and every year up until now, the first game has always been a big family thing... xil's, uncles, aunt, me, my Mom, all cheering on the JoeyBear... this year, will just be me and maybe my Mom--don't know if she is working this Saturday or not yet...
