I got your little package today in the mail... and I am looking forward to my reading, especially with THE lunch being tomorrow.... (think of me and how many shades of red I may turn tomorrow afternoon)... and with Joey's comments today to LOL at, and with the stress I had at work today, well... I'm looking forward to the reading...

I did not see a couple of pages though and was hoping you could scan those and email them to me... pages 402 and 403 are missing... would you mind? :)

Thanks again for thinking of both Joey and I... I was surprised with the extra pages you included... had I told you when the other's birthday was?

*hugs*

Julie

Weekend? What's that? OH! I remember! It's the time when I have to cram everything that I can't do during the week at HOME into my life.

Planting and weeding. Mowing the lawn. More school stuff.

Oh.... sweetie and I volunteered at a wine festival and got to drink some great wine.... but we had to help serve at one of our local wineries in order to get in free. Geez, I'm glad I'm not in public service! I can't BELIEVE how many people were well on their way to drunk by 11:45, 45 min after the thing opened.

Tonight I'm watching the third to the last episode of The Sopranos. I'm addicted. No more Sex and the City. No more Carnivale. No more Tony Soprano. If they cancel Big Love, I'm hosed. I LOVE the HBO series.

Karen, I was in Target today. Every time I go in there, I forget something and end up going back. Lists don't work, so don't go there! I think I need cat food.

Julie, I did the nails last week one evening, sneaking out of work in order to get to the only good nail place in the entire Raleigh Durham area before they closed at 7. And of course, today I risked ruining them by working in the yard. I think they survived.

Don't even ask what's on my schedule for next week. I MIGHT get to relax on Thursday night around 8.

Well, I decided to be lazy for the first part of the day... which was nice, especially since Joey was at xils for the night and then today.

Hmmmmmm. I'm not sure if I'd go back..... I'm a firm believer in the "three strikes and you're out" rule. I've gone through several nail salons because of it. Sometimes the inconvenience is worth the price of admission and sometimes it's not. *sigh*

Ugh to the 8, 12, and 4. I run 6 hour experiments with a 30 min set up and 3 hours of manipulation afterwards. Lucky for me, I've gotten us on a bus-stop schedule so it's only once a week, sometimes twice if I'm feeling generous or if I need to catch up. My boss is lucky that all my other experiments are short and I can squeeze them in and around all the darned paperwork I have to do!

My company is putting out this huge report this month and I'm having to QA all these reports, both internal and external. I'm so tired of reading them, I actually DREAD coming in and getting my email. "Calla, can you turn this one over in 24 hours? It's only 48 pages with 18 tables." Sheesh! Having a good command of the English language is turning out to be a liability!

Off to read today's report..........

Yeah, I can't really decide... the thing that sucks is that I have been happier about my nails here than I have anywhere else... and my toes still look great, even two weeks after my last ped from there... I'm still up in the air.

Oh geez...... is ANYTHING in life easy?????

Convenience is good. Drive throughs are convenient. It's easier to grab a junior cheeseburger deluxe and a biggie sweet tea at the Wendy's drive through than park, walk into Subway, and get a nice turkey sub with tons of veggies on it! And if the nail place isn't BAD, well, maybe it was someone's birthday or anniversary........

Helicopters? You're right..... that's a good OR bad thing! My friend's mother lives adjacent to some public land. One afternoon, she's outside gardening and helicopters are flying around overhead. A couple Sheriff cars pull up and several deputies climb out and say "Howdy" to her, then ask if they can walk through her property. After about an hour, they come walking back, lugging a huge pile of pot plants. One of the younger guys looked at her and said, in his truest Southern, "Miss Mary, we assume these plants don't belong to you." and she replied, "Boys, you're right about that." I think that's the stuff that disappeared soon after being logged in. Sheesh!

But now every time I hear or see helicopters or planes, I wonder if some deputy is going to come through looking for pot.......

Oh my goodness.... I'm really close to Blake's school during the day, and when I hear helicpoters, I get panicked.... because typically when they are doing, yet another, drug search on the campus... or looking for an unruly student who ran off on foot, they get out the helicopters.

*L* the school the girls go to is 1st - 12th grades. There haven't been any drug issues as long as we've been there, and it's small enough that I don't think they'd bring out helicopters for it. I'd freak out.
