First I'd like to thank all of you for your supportive words/hugs and being there when I needed to vent...I'm back for more support...
I may have lost my job...the reason I say may is that I will not know until tomorrow or possibly next week...I'm AFRAID...where is that AFRAID icon?!!?

Keeping you in my thoughts that you wont lose your job over this.
Have you heard anything? I remember when I was at my new job that i accepted before PS left....(I accepted the offer, PS left a week later, I began new job a week later than that, then found out I was prego a week after that)....I remember I barely hung onto this job by a thread. I definately did not give them my best. The boss there gave me plenty of chances and I was grateful for that. If I had lost this job--that would've been trouble. After a year, I was OK...but still felt like I had to prove myself and knew I started out on the wrong foot. I got another (better paying) job and started fresh.
Let us know how things are goign for you!
((((HUGE hugs)))))....thanks for your reply in my vent thread ;)

Prayers going out to you.......

Did you hear anything yet?
I am an accountant too, and I agree with the CL, there should be controls in place. Something like a checklist or when you file the report you print it off and have someone else sign that they see it is filed. It's too easy to forget to do something, and with manual controls there should always be one person performing the control, and someone else reviewing/checking.
What I would do is recommend to your boss a new control to 'fix' the problem. Like, we did not realize timely that this was not performed in early 2004, so we have met and agreed to have a filing checklist, one person will file, someone else will check that the filing was done timely and the report and evidience of revew will be filed. That might give your boss something to lean on when he has to tell others what happened - he can say we have a problem but we also have a solution.
Just wanted to send you some (((hugs))) (((hugs))) (((hugs)))! Hope that things will work out for you. Your right it is in God's hands...may He craddle you through this. I hope you get to stay in your job!

Thank God!!! I'm soooo happy for you!!! I kept checking to see if you had any news!! I'm glad everything worked out. Hopefully you can come up with a check system to prevent this from happening in the future.
HUGE hugs!
