OW just called - think she was drunk

Just as I settled in with a nice cup of decaf tea and a book I was hoping to finish. My cell rings.

It was the OW and I'm fairly sure she was drunk. She has never called me before. Once she said who she was, I told her I didn't think we should be talking. She babbled for a few seconds about being the one who can make him happy and who did I think I am? I told her I was hanging up and to please not call me again.

WTF? I think I am the mother of his children who he is not paying to take care of. He and I have a civil relationship and talk about nothing but the kids. All I want from him are my portion of the assets (which he moved into accounts in his name before telling me he was leaving) and the children's financial rights. She can have the rest.

I am not answering any calls from that number again. OMG - my cell is ringing and it's her. Not going to answer!

Dear lord, what is she thinking?

My stbx's GF is my former best friend and she IM'ed me the other day and told me that she missed me. WTF??? Seriously, she needs to have her head examined. I replied with "you replaced me with the father of my children" and she said "that is NOT what happened". I finally just logged off because I didn't want to get into a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent! LOL

It is my experience that the OW is threatened by you. What person gets into a relationship with a man whose leaves their family and is not on good terms with his XW? Wouldn't you question such a man. Of course you would, because you have self esteem and standards. These women don't. They are so desperate for love they cling to the first warm body (crazy STBX's who need similar affirmation of thier worth b/c they can't admit they feel so bad about themselves for what they did). Now that's all fine, just leave us out of it right? Next time she calls just tell her not to put her insecurities on you. Maybe that will shut her up.
