PIL's alleged $200K "loan" update

My lawyer sent me a copy of this letter she sent to STBX's attorney yesterday. It reads in part:
"Mr. STBX is not paying crucial bills for maintenance of the martial home... I am asking that you contact your client regarding this...
With regard to pending litigation, the only objection my client has is payout of the staggering amount of money allegedly owed to Mr. STBX's parents, which goes back to 1987. After talking with my client, apparently Mr. STBX's parents have been giving each of their children equal amounts of money during the past years which was considered early distribution of the children's inheritance. In addition, if in fact the 1987 $65,000 was a loan, there would be a promissory note and a lien attached to the salvage yard property."
I wonder what his reaction will be, or if my in-laws will try and pull any stunts, such as forging new memos on the cancelled checks.
STBX's parents have GIVEN their daughter a house on Cape Cod (valued at close to $400K), and I believe have financed their oldest son's business. If those weren't considered loans, then why should their gifts to us be considered loans? They're just mad that I'm divorcing their precious son, and so are trying to take their anger out on me.
I sent STBX a certified letter regarding reimbursement for business supplies that I had purchased for our storage business. During the past year, he'd refused to give me funds to purchase needed paper, ink, and stamps. I had to use my personal credit card to make the purchases. If the invoices don't get sent out, we don't get paid.... So yesterday, after my dad drove me back from the eye doc's, we stopped at the shop. STBX was visibly abrupt with me, and I KNEW he'd gotten the letter with the recipts (copies, I have the originals!)... Hopefully, he'll ante up the $400.-- it's not personal, it's business-- I hope he realizes that. But I could care less, as long as I get reimbursed.
