weird question. My lawyer and I drew up a Property Settlement Agreement two years ago, very thorough, everything covered. My H and I signed and had it notarized, everything is legal. And we are living by the terms (support, life insurance policies, who pays car insuance on kids, etc) in the agreement. But, we are not divorced. We live apart and describe ourselves as divorced, but we never filed. My H doesn't really want a divorce, but I am moving towards wanting one.
QUestion - what does the final decree actually look like? If I file and a divorce is granted, and he doesn't contest anything, do they just hook our Property Settlement on to the final decree? Is it just attached, just like that? Or does it have to be rewritten into the decree? Is our Property Settlement a separate thing? Or does it get some sort of legal status as part of the divorce.
I'd appreciate hearing what the final divorce decree will actually consist of. (my lawyer is in another town and charges me everytime I call him)

In my case, we split the marital assets prior to filing for divorce because we'd already decided who was getting what and how much etc.
