Unfortunately it sounds like your husband is now a drug addict. There's little you can do except pick up the pieces and move on. Who knows why someone like your husband would go from one extreme to another? It's not easy to live with and you're wise to have custody of your child.
That said, I encourage you to find support whether from clergy, a professional counselor, or a support group. You need to see that
