Seeing a lawyer today...HELP!!!!

I'm new around here, so I'll give a brief re-intro! I'm Samantha, 24, full-time student, work about 10 hours a week, two boys, one on the way. I left STBX because he was abusive. We were going to work things out, then he decided he wanted a divorce. I've met with one lawyer who said I can get post-seperation support b/c I was dependant. He makes 5x what I do. B/c of the seperation I was not able to move to a bigger place as we had planned, right now I'm in a two bedroom condo and about to have three kids. Also, he had 4-wheel-drive, I do not. The problem with that is that last winter, several times we had to leave my car almost a half a mile away from our house b/c it couldn't make it up the hill. Also, it's barely big enough to hold

Hi there :)
I am not sure but in most cases they will ask you to fill out a financial affadavit which goes MUCH deeper into expenses and such. It will ask for clothes expenses for children and yourself... things like that. From that, your attorney will come up with a figure. Let him do all the work.... :)
I hope that helped a little.
Hugs to you,
Angelena
PS I also have 3 kids in a 2 bedroom apartment. We survive basically by keeping the baby in our room until he is old enough to be in his own, by that time we will move.
They do it now, I believe they have to submit the financial part to the judge before you go to court....
Let us know how it went.... I'm curious what this attorney told you.
Hope it went well!
