Spoke to the attorney...

...or rather her associate attorney (read young/new attorney). Unfortunately because of trial and vacation I could not get an appt. until May 15. I made the appt. but I think I'm going to look and see if I can get in with anyone next week that I think I like. This seems like it should be easier than it's been to hire an attorney.

H is still out of town, visiting family. I received a terse email from him, chatising me for having our oldest child call him this a.m. to wish him a happy birthday. He told me it was inappropriate. WTH? I guess that's his guilty conscious talking. I laid in to him via email back and said, "I was trying to be nice, since it was your birthday. I assure you I won't make that mistake again." Arse.

His e mail didn't deserve a reply.

I think that's just it Karen...he's immature and he's also realizing what he's losing and his anger (with himeself) is manifesting itself towards me. But I'm prepared.

He's supposed to be back in town today. I asked him to meet me at a neutral location this afternoon to discuss his visitation with the boys and other stuff related to the divorce, getting the attorneys going, etc. But I haven't heard from him. So at this point I'm assuming it's not going to happen. He didn't see the point on meeting at Starbucks on Tuesday when I talked to him. I just feel like I can control my emotions better in a public place. He thinks us yelling, at the marital home, with the children present is a better idea. I'm not biting. I'm moving on!!

He's said he wants to see the kids Saturday. I have to teach a remediation class so it works for me. But when I tried to talk to him Tuesday about keeping them overnight he refused and it got ugly. So between that meltdown, and his email chastizing me over the birthday wishes phone call from our son, I'm not looking forward to him being back in town. Ahhh, when does this get easier?

Sorry this got so long winded all :)
