I'm in MA and after 23 years of being married, it looks like we are at the end.
No cheating on either side, but some emotional abuse from him to me.
My question is, will a lawyer offer a free consultation?

Some lawyers will do a free consultation, others will charge a small amt. (I'm a lawyer & we usually charge $75 and then if the person hires us, it's applied to the fee).
You might want to consider using a mediator.
