So-STBX has argued about alimony - His biggest peeve- Told him I would talk to my lawyer about it. Basically, I'm working on my $$ for 1/2 the house. He just has it appraised. The bank keeps asking for a divorce degree which won't happen until at least april. I told him just to appease him that I didn't want alimony. (Like I said I need $ for 1/2 the house). He today asks a favor tonight to take the kids away for superbowl weekend cuz she wants to visit him. (I knew he was going to ask me this cuz he was packing my stuff) I'm due to close on my place by 3/1/07. Why can't he wait until then. He is now on the phone with OW who thinks he wasn't married, but has 2 kids. What do I do? Pretty much I'm writing off alot of $$ cuz he threatens to have me hunt him down for $$. I would rather have him here for this kids. My sister thinks he has a personality disorder and he should be on lithium. I need to get my own place asap. He is so messed up in reality. No clue at all. Thanks for listening.

Funny (Not really) you should mention a personality disorder.

I was just at a irl divorce support group (all women) and several of us think our stbxs are possibly bi-polar. Several also say their stbxs lay the claim that the wives are emotionally and verbally abusive.

Hmmmmmm ...

Are they truly bi-polar or is just the way some folks are when they do something very very very wrong to their spouses and children and the only way they can save face is by pretending they are doing nothing wrong and ignoring common decency in conduct toward thier stbx?

Just a bit of a rant ...

I hope you get the money you justly deserve and the children get to be with their father. The two should not be mutually exclusive.

What is the website address for the irl support group?

It is a group sponsored by a place called the Women's Center here in my area. They have a bunch of seminars on divorce as well as myriad support groups for all kinds of things. If you live in Northern Virginia it might be worth checking out www.thewomenscenter.org (I think). When I said "irl" I meant "in real life." Sorry if I was confusing.

GL to you in your situation.

Sorry-

Newbie here :) I live in CT. I sent an email to see about joining a parents without partners group. I should try to find a divorce support group irl. Thanks for the lesson in IM
