How do you handle family events?
I'm having a Bday dinner for my sister tonight at a restaurant. There will be a family table set up. Should I invite stbx to sit with us at the family table? There will be some folks there who do not yet know that we are getting divorced. When I asked stbx - his response was "well, I'm not really part of the family anymore" and I just agreed. But I'm having secong thoughts now. I'd love to hear form others as to how they handled things like this. We are trying to be friends through this whole divorce and we have shared the holidays without any trouble.
Thanks!

Just my two cents, I would not include your STBX in this type of event.
GLM,
Invite your STBX to your gathering but respect his decision NOT to come. You're in a very awkward stage of your relationship to say the least. He
