Tossing this one out there...

I don't know if I should be annoyed or not... so I'm tossing it out there... can't wait to hear your thoughts...

So, on our way back from Charleston, we were supposed to stop by xils house tonight to pick up cupcakes for Joey to take to school with him tomorrow for his birthday... xmil had been so nice to make them for Joey, since I normally do it, but would be driving home... she calls me and tells me that they're ready and she'll see us when we get closer... cool beans... this was awesome because I didn't really want to do half a day in Charleston, to then drive 4 to 5 hours home, to then bake... wtg xmil!!! :)

... fast forward an hour later... phone rings... xmil says that I'll never guess who just showed up at her door... xh... apparently he was thinking yesterday that he really would like to see Joey for his birthday... so he gets up early and drives over here to surprise everyone... truth be told, I think it is kinda awesome that for a man who never calls Joey and hardly sees him ever that he thinks he should drive 10 hours each way to see his son on his birthday...

xh wants to surprise Joey (and Aunt Barbara who has been planning on birthday lunching with Joey and who also doesn't know xh's here) by showing up at school for lunch tomorrow... (and he'll bring the cupcakes that xmil baked)... then after lunch, he wants to check Joey out of school (no biggie, they eat lunch late and only have about 1-2 hours after lunch is over anyway--and it IS his birthday) and then, because I'm such a freaking softy, I say, do you want to keep him overnight on Tuesday and then take him to school on Wednesday morning?

LMAO Karen...tell us how you *really* feel!

Julie, Why cant you all go out to dinner for his bday? Why should you be excluded from his bday just because deadbeat decides to turn up? If all of you (including x mil and aunt sharon) go out to dinner, that would alleviate it being just you,him and Joey. They could be your buffer.

There's no way in he!! I would alter my plans for dinner. Invite him along (and sit on opposite sides of the table AND refrain from throwing things at him ;) ).......

That's what I would do.....

LMAO!.... and I'd probably tell EXa$$ that he could join US for our plans, too... since I'm so nice and all.

You have *no idea* how I really feel.

Thanks for your input and support regarding xh's visit... I know letting Joey go with xh was the right thing to do for Joey, but it wasn't easy... but now, I'm going to start and

Score TEN for Mommy. THAT is what it is all about :) That is what it's all for..makes it all worth it. I miss those days. I'm having a terrible time wiht my almost 14 yr old son. I miss the times he'd sit in my lap-or run to me through the door-and hug/kiss me and tell me he loves me and missed me. *sigh*

Now it's "Oh my Gawdddd mom". Or "Jeeeeeezzzzz".....or some other attitude riden statment. Mostly in response to "Do you have all of your homework?" or "Did you take your med?" (Which now I HAND FEED him because he LIED for 2 weeks saying he did when he didnt.....ended with 2 detentions in one day and parent/teacher conferences from HELL. I counted the pills ;)

Well now, that shot his "the teachers say that Joey's never been that well behaved before in lunch" all to hell in a handbasket, now didn't it??????

So, did you figure out why he's *really* here?

No, I didn't find out anything about any alterior motives...

only time will tell if there is one or not...

I'm thrilled Joey wanted to come home... there I said it... this day ended the way it should have... Joey got to spend time with each of us on his birthday (and truly, I don't think he could have asked for more than that on many levels!)

Do you really want to see ALL the Charleston pictures?
