Since I am a desert freak I'll bring the desert. It's called Peanut buster parfait desert. It's a layer of crushed Oreos, then vanilla ice cream. Then peanuts and homemade hot fudge. Then more ice cream, peanuts, and fudge. YUMMMMMMMMM! Since it is virtual it won't melt. LOL I hope we are having this picnic in your neck of the woods, it's suppose to be over 100 today here and the wind is supposed to blow 45mph.
Everyone have a great Memorial Day weekend. Hugs, Brenda

Hope you don't mind if I steal that recipe for future use!

It's supposed to be over 80 in CT today, which is pretty warm for this time of year. But over 100? Yikes! Going to be a warm one in your neck of the woods today.

Okay, since this is virtual, I will bring the pool and certified angus steaks and my favorite salad: Mixed greens, sliced strawberries, honey roasted pecans, crumbled feta or bleu cheese and Maple Balsamic Vinigriette dressing.

Oh, oh, and I won't forget to bring the water balloons for a water balloon fight! :)

Thanks for the invitation!

Here's the whole recipe!

Buster Bar Dessert

1 pkg. of Oreos (You better taste test one or two. LOL)
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1/2 lb. cocktail peanuts

topping:
2c. powdered sugar
2/3 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. margarine
1 1/2 c. milk

Combine crushed cookies with melted margarine. Place in bottom of 9 X 13 pan. Spoon softened ice cream over crumb mixture. Sprinkle with peanuts. pleace in freezer while you prepare topping. Combine all topping ingredients in a pan and heat until chips melt. Bring to a boil. Simmer 10 minutes. Let cool thoroughly. Pour over dessert and freeze until firm. Allow to soften 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

I will sometimes layer the ice cream and toppings. Makes it prettier, but a lot more work.
