It depends on your jurisdiction. I would suggest that you call your attorney to ask this question. I see many posters answer this question that you could lost custody, that the judge could do this or that. For my jurisdiction, that was not true. At those ages, the kids could decide. It's important to find out what happens in YOUR jurisdiction, not someone else's.

I know, that won't "solve" anything... but he's got to be understanding to what the kids are feeling (and that this isn't coming from YOU.... it's what THEY want... and THEY want their dad...not his current baggage... and perhaps if they get used to the situation with dad, they'll be more receptive to add-ons later).
When the court ordered visitation did it take the childrens' opinion into consideration?
