I SURVIVED MY DIVORCE!!! As a matter of fact, I just had a divorce party this weekend. I invited all my close women friends to join me to celebrate the official end of my marriage. At the end of the evening, I closed that chapter of my life in a kind of unusual way. There's this great product called a wedding ring coffin which is designed specifically for divorced people. Really, what do most people do with their wedding rings after they get divorced? Well, I placed mine in a wedding ring coffin----it looks exactly like the real thing. I gave my ring and my marriage a eulogy and closed the lid on that chapter for good!

Congratulations for getting closure! I think ending a marriage with a ceremony & friends is wonderful! I still have my rings as I haven't decided yet what to do. For me the choices are sell them or have the setting changed to add my kids birthstones as my marriage brought me my children. I still haven't decided (it's been 2 years) and will decide when the time is right. I know lots of people who have traded them in or had them made into other rings/necklaces. You have so many choices! The best thing about divorce is the freedom to do what is best for you.

I never even considered keeping my engagement ring. It was worth a little something, so I sold it. But the wedding ring was just a band of gold and not worth much. For a while, it was just sitting in a jewelry box but it kept nagging at me. When I came across the wedding ring coffin, it just seemed right. Like they say on their website, it's the perfect place to keep that reminder of your dead marriage!
