Weekend plans???

One of the best things about divorce is having the occasional weekends "off" from parenting.... Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore my rugrats.....but mine are with Dad this weekend and I'm looking forward to some playtime for mom.

What fun stuff do ya'll have planned?

It's February with romance on the mind...who's got a hot date?

Here's what's on my agenda...

Must grocery shop after work today, Mother Hubbard's cupboard is BARE! Ran out of milk this am.
Work on a jewelry making project -- Valentine's Day gifts. One of my hobbies--I bought some really cool beads and charms last week.
I'm in the middle of a good book--wanna finish it.
Going out to dinner tonight with a group of friends.
Plan on getting up early tomorrow am to go garage sale-ing, although it may be too early in the season even here.
Must pick up GS cookies and distribute.
Shop for son's birthday.
Do some yard cleanup work. Leaves and pine needles everywhere. I want to get the beds ready for spring planting.
I was invited to a superbowl party--I don't give a flip about the game, but I may go anyway to socialize.
I've got fabric for a couple of sewing projects I'd like to get started on.

I plan to be busy! Plus the house is a nasty mess--it should be cleaned--YDD had a sleepover last weekend and they trashed her room and we haven't gotten to putting it right yet. But maybe I'll play like Scarlet and think about that tomorrow!

Beads.... my DD had out our beads last night making a pair of earrings for a friend's birthday... we love projects like that.

This weekend..... I do have my kiddos (and like you, look forward to that break whenever they are gone.

This weekend should be pretty fun... Tomorrow is the Atlanta Braves Winter Fan Fest, so I'm taking Joey down there... he'll be able to run the bases, grab some balls in the outfield, take a tour of the players only sections of Turner Field and there is an autograph session...

then tomorrow night will be topped off with a hockey game... I won tickets again to my company's suite, so Joey and I will be there... it is kid's jersey night and he is beyond excited... we've been fortunate and have won a lot of hockey tickets this year...

Sunday will be normal running around and then we'll head over to xil's... we typically visit on Sunday... which gives me a bit of a break (since I rarely have those "my time" weekends) and lets them see their grandson/nephew... I'm really thrilled how well it has all worked, keeping them involved (because I want them to be involved as much as they want to be), even if xh isn't really there...

I hope everyone has a great weekend, from me and my sports nut Joey, who will get the excitement of baseball, hockey and football (courtesy of the Super Bowl) all in one weekend!

*hugs*
