It sure has been quiet here today... what are your plans for the weekend? What about Thanksgiving? Will you be shopping the day after or avoiding the malls like the plague?

This weekend...

Joey has his third gymnastics class tomorrow morning. I'm hoping that it goes better than last week--actually, I'd take as good as last week, sans the temper tantrum at the beginning of class...

After that we are meeting one of Joey's friends for a playdate. He's all excited about getting to go play with Caitlin.

It is also his uncle's birthday this weekend, so we have to do some last minute shopping for that. Sunday we'll do errands and then spend the day with my xil's...

Thanksgiving...

We'll be in town, w/ xils. It should be good, it is normally.

Shopping...

Yeah, I'm there and I enjoy it... its not that I'm one who gets up super early to get all the sales, but it feels like the start of the season for me...

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and Thanksgiving!

Great question!

My husband and I will be working M-W and then having dinner with my husband's family on Tgiving Day. I work F-Saturday, too next week. So, no rest for the weary!

Have a good week!

Good question. This was my first Thanksgiving alone.

Several years ago I had a client who nearly died of cancer, and I spent a good bit of time with him in the hospital. Shortly after, his wife divorced him, and I walked with him through that. He was one of the first people I shared the news of my divorce with.

This year quite unexpectedly he invited me to join him for Thanksgiving dinner with his daughters and sister. I was able to cook and bring something (am "rediscovering" that I enjoy cooking--forgot after my STBX kicked me out of the kitchen). We had a very nice time.

Got to see my daughter briefly on Friday. Avoided the malls altogether except to find a tiny Christmas tree suited to my apartment.

Had our mediation session last Tuesday--and it went well, which is big news, but will post the details of that under the $$$$$ list for those who will remember my post there of "The Numbers Don't Add Up".
