What the ...???

This doesn't suprise me one bit, in fact, I expected this and deep down I knew my ex was lying! My ex lying to me??!! Wow, what a concept. He told me where he was working out of state. I hadn't received child support, and still haven't in almost 2 months (it is court order, and they garnish his checks). He told me they were taking their time doing the paperwork and child support told me it sometimes takes awhile to get a new garnishment order when someone begins new employment. Okay, fair enough. Played the waiting game for awhile. Found the number to my ex's employer. Called them on the phone. Imagine my suprise (not really, but okay) to hear that they hadn't even heard of him, and said that no one by that name works there. I ask them if this is the only "name of the business" in town, (I thought maybe there was more than one, and I just called the wrong one) Yep, they say, the only one in the town. So ex lied about where he worked. Called him that next night. He of course didn't admit that he lied, but said that he didn't work there "anymore". Uh, try never. Turns out he isn't even working at all! I don't even care anymore. He is over $2000 behind in child support, money that the kids may as well flush down the toilet because they will never see it. How sad, that he sucks so bad as a father and not just with the money thing. In pretty much every other area also. Gee, its a good thing they have me, or what would they do?

Well..... the child support will keep tallying up.... and sometime, down the road, he'll have to pay something.
Be sure that the IRS is aware that he's behind on child support; tax refunds are subject to garnishment.... and keep the state child support division updated with his non-payment, too.
