This is my first time to go to family court for child support. My divorce decree stated cs was to be 34.00 a week because my ex had medical expenses(pske and prozac- for his sexual addiction to porn resulting in our family break-up)This was 4 yearz ago. Anyhow now I'm taking him to court cause now he earns 35,000+ a year. Hasn't seen a pske for 3 years now. (I have sole-custody too and he has supervised visitation although he hasn't seen them in 7 months)
My question is; from your experiences, what good suggestions do you folks have to look and be successful when going to court? I'm gathering financial data but could use helpful hints!

Do you have an attorney? Your attorney should be rehearsing with you so that when the judge asks you questions you are prepared. If you don't and you're going it alone, just be VERY CLEAR about all the FACTS of your case. Bring documentation that you can easily refer to, etc. Practice at home. Try to think of things you'll want to say and questions that you might be asked. Don't get emotional. Be poised, articulate and clear. Good luck!

Well, stick to the facts.... leave the emotions at home.
