What a tale!!!!

So my parents and I live in a small town in NC. REALLY small. My parents live in a new subdivision right in town, right down the street from the mayor who developed the neighborhood. Last night, I was helping my Mom make dinner, and she tells my father to let me read the letter from "J". We don't know anyone named "J", so I'm confused, but Dad starts laughing and gets me the letter. It's hand addressed to my Dad.... thick, with 2 stamps.... return address label from a guy "R" in a neighboring town. I open it up and start reading.....

It's from this woman, J, who's husband, R, has been cheating on her with a realtor ("T") who works for the mayor/developer (r's best friend). R is a surveyor. I'm wondering why on earth my father got this, so I keep reading. After the introduction, it lists chronologically each day's cell phone calls on R's phone... who they're to or from with the duration. She also added commentary about what was going on in her married life (yes, that). She details when she confronts him about his relationship with T. J drove out of state to be with her family during this troubling time. R flies to get her, swearing no contact with T, and on the drive back, they stay at a hotel and make love. He goes out to get ice and calls T. He goes down to get breakfast and calls T. They return home, go to marriage counseling, and things start looking up. Then one day, R comes home and hands J divorce papers, and moves out. He tells her he's going to stay with the mayor or in an empty house in the mayor's subdivision. (T also lives in this subdivision)

So we're assuming that J sent this letter to everyone in the subdivision where her cheating husband, his best friend, and his girlfriend live. It's a large subdivision, and neither of my parents know the girlfriend, though they know the mayor.

Imagine. What an interesting way to get revenge.
