Last night, I was washing a Tupperware container that EX has sent home with the kids with leftover birthday cake.

I would wash it too and return it. We have to pick our battles and this one isn't worth it. I guess I am to nice too so I may have this one wrong

I would wash it as well. I wouldn't want to mistakenly open it after a week of sitting on the counter!

I'd wash it...I'd do that for anyone that sent food over, so why not for X?

I would do what I always do when anyone sends food in a returnable container: wash it and return it. Frustrating when the person you are treating as an adult isn't behaving that way, though.

Wash it and send it back.

I'd wash it. I just can't imagine not washing it, you know? Like your comment in a different thread about the kids coming home w/ clean clothes. That should be the way it is, it shouldn't be a special treat! And don't get me started on what my kids' stuff looked like when they returned from their visit with their dad - UGH!

The only way I'd consider NOT washing it would be if the cake hadn't been chocolate. (JK)

Honestly, the only way would be if I wasn't home between getting the cake, eating it, and seeing him again. This is a no-brainer, just like the clothes washing should be. Common courtesy. Oh.... I forgot.... not many people actually still have that.
