Elf,

Hi. Moving on is difficult no matter what the circumstances of your divorce. The longer you were married the more difficult for those who know and love you to accept your situation. Very often when divorce occurs its "sudden" to everyone but the couple who is doing so!

My advice is twofold. First, I encourage you to live your life as if no one is watching. You need not worry about the neighbors, your friends, family, or coworkers and what they think. Their curosity is natural but it doesn't have to be satisfied. Only you can decide what you tell people, and how much. My advice is not to tell "too much" i.e. your very personal things like the details of your relationship, etc.
