I have written on this board before, about my husband of 29 years who left abrupbtly in March. He used to be a mellow, kind person but he has completly flipped out. He took me to court saying I had a gun I was going to shoot him with ( I don't own a gun or know how to use one), withdrawn money from an IRA, telling my daughter

I can't totally relate to this since my ex wasn't as horrible to me as yours was to you.

Hi Shukat,

I completely understand how you are feeling, but let her make her own decisions.

I can't say that I know how you feel, but my mother certainly does. My father was an emotionally and physically abusive alcoholic. My mother never NEVER said a bad thing about him, but believe me...we eventually found out what a complete jerk he is. Don't worry about your daughter. She knows what good things you have done for her and I'm pretty sure that she will see right through her dad when he talks about you.

It sucks doesn't it?

But, we can't let our problems get in the way of our children's relationship with the spouse.
