Tomorrow morning-- I've talked with him a couple of times but this one we get down to the barebones.. wish me peace of mind, and if anyone has any questions they feel i should ask let me know.. i'm open for suggestions. So far i have the basic ones to do with the kids visitation, insurance, vacations... i've got those handled, now i'm not so sure on what all will happen with the property division.. any thing i need to ask him about that kind of things? hugs,Reba
One thing you need to discuss is his/her fees, terms of payment, billing (how often, itemized, etc). It's very important you have that discussion. I'd also ask for a written work agreement that explains all that so you both have something in writing.
Lawyers tend to balk at "itemized billing" because it's time consuming but I'd insist on it. You have a right to regular billing (so your fees don't pile up and suddenly appear in one giant bill) and to know what exactly they spent your money doing.
Be a stickler about this and don't back down. It will save you many, many headaches in the end.

Karen
