as i know that i have been experiencing a stressful time and sleeplessness (which have result in a most recent cold) due to a possibly ending relationship that will result in divorce, i have to take note of my thoughts to myself, which are the reminders that stress not only can/will affect your health & well being, but it can also kill you...the knowledge that this comes other than just experiencing the stress for myself that has at times resulted in nausea & dizziness...but also from the story of my 55 yr old aunt who is in a hospital at this very moment..."dying from a broken heart" is what my mother would say...i would say not from a broken heart, but from self love that she didn't have in order to heal it...she was the typical wife/mother for 30 some years when her world seemingly crumbled before her w/the word...d i v o r c e...much of her self identity had been created by the titles wife/mother & when the husband was gone & remarried & the kids were out of the house, all she had left was the huge house that she clung to even though she could not physically or financially take care of it...and to this day, as she lay dying in the hospital from lack of self care (which the cause of would've included a diet of multiple goody powders a day, coffee & cigarettes) she still hangs on to that damn too big house...regardless what the source of stress may be, ultimately it is up to us to figure out positive rather than self-destructive ways of dealing w/these life issues...we may think that we do so, but the one of the most destructive behaviors is simply "worrying"...the saying "worrying yourself to death" didn't come from nowhere as my aunt is living proof (it's been over 7 yrs since the divorce) so anyways - as we always have the habit of telling the people (especially other women) to take care of themselves, we probably need to be looking more at ourselves in the mirror & not only saying it, but meaning it...
