I am in total disbelief. He wants to play dirty? I will play right back at him - & *I* dont NEED to play dirty OR lie like he does, since I have all the evidence on my side. & given the fact that he has been agreeing w/ the court ordered psyc after every visit with him,

Ok, This all makes me sick, but its time.

Spoke w/ the paralegal, my atty is in court.

She said the order ONLY says he MUST attend co-parenting counseling with the specific doc. So yes, I am in contempt in keeping her from him. But i pretty much assumed that. Thank GOD the psyc will go to bat for us.

She also said "J (my atty) said this AM, 'we have got to deal with this custody issue', so at this point, since we are going to court anyway, we need to get it all done at once". So ... they

Hey, R...... I'm thinkin' of you.....

Thoughts....... back when my XH had attempted suicide, we'd limited his time with the girls even though we have joint. No court order, nothing in writing. Every month or so, he'd add another day (it's been 3 years and he's still not up to his full 7 days, not that I care)

Point is that my lawyer told me (as a mother, not as my lawyer) that if I EVER thought the girls would be in danger with him, I was to not let them go with him. THEN, as my lawyer, she told me that if I DID keep the girls from him, she would go to the ends of the earth to defend my decision.

I'm sure that you will come out clean in this. It's not like you withheld visitation because he owed you $$.

As much as this bites in your case, I think they do this kind of thing to keep the parental alienation crap down.

R~

I just cannot believe your xh... really I can't... unfortunately, this has been one of ~those~ weeks for me as well... not divorce related, just in general, so I'm so exhausted, I don't have much more to say... but, I don't think your xh has a leg to stand on... I am glad to hear that you're going for full custody and I'm keeping you and A in my thoughts and prayers... Keep us posted!

*hugs*

Hi- Very briefly, you are right in teh fact that i was in contempt for not letting him see her. But it was after a VERY LONG time of his emotionally abusing her. I had a court order for the psyc to eval the situation. He told me to stop visitation. X's atty AND my atty all agreed that it was in teh best interest. The psyc was in full contact w/ both attys througout the last 4 months that I have with held visitation. I think if you knew more history, which of course you would have to spend hours looking back thru in archives - you would see why people feel its very justified.

The ONLY reason i havent tried to get sole custody is b/c we were trying to give him a chance. He is mentally ill & we hoped this psyc could intervene enough to
