Disappointed with George Clooney

I've been a George Clooney fan for a little while now and have been watching him in various movies and on YouTube. I came across an old Newsweek interview in which he says he won't run for office because he's "f*k*d too many chicks". I'm quite taken aback that he used those words because so far he's come across as a fairly decent person in various interviews (and from other people's accounts) - I don't think he can be putting on an act all the time.

I'm trying to make excuses for his language (ok, maybe it was a one-off, everyone makes mistakes, etc) though I know he shouldn't have said it at all and he probably doesn't respect women - and that hurts.

I mean, we love and like our spouses, family and friends despite their weaknesses, and we still continue to be friends, so is it wrong to admire and continue to like this guy despite that sentence I have a problem with?

Unless you're in a relationship with George Clooney, I don't see what difference it makes how you feel about him......I'm sure HE doesn't care!

George Clooney has always had a reputation for being a ladies man, and so have a lot of other male celebs who are handsome and make millions of dollars a year. But unless you plan on being in a relationship with him someday why would that hurt you? Yeah he could have been more tactful, but frankly he's too priveliged

Don't confuse "charming" with "decent person". I don't mean this as an insult but you sound like a very innocent, naive person - you think the use of the F word is really that shocking and appalling? I just hope that no one ever takes advantage of your innocence and sweetness.

You do not have a personal relationship with George Clooney - there is nothing wrong with admiring an actor for their talent but you're taking this far too personally.
