About a month back I was at a restaurant cum bar with a few of my friends and this guy approached me. I had recently gotten out of a bad long distance relationship & my defences were up, somehow he broke down my guard, he seemed like

Yes two weeks and my reaction was similar but you have to understand we practically saw each other almost everyday in those two weeks and unfortunately even the kids got involved and that bothers me.

Let this be a lesson - never introduce your children to a man until you've been dating a good six months and until

"He is a great guy but I sensed control issues and neediness."
These are extremely important, relationship-breaking factors. A person cannot truly be free, or be themselves, when they are with someone who exhibits these behaviors. Especially when he's showing you these things after only two weeks, right? That's a huge thing to watch out for. Most people are able to keep these things under wraps for at least a little while in order to give a good impression. This guy can't even manage that.

I agree that this was at least an important lesson not to get kids involved so soon. Consider yourself lucky. You dodged a cannonball here - don't dwell on what he thinks or feels, the feelings of people like this are twisted and indeterminable.

The sensible side and my mind tells me "good riddance".....but he had me so convinced that it was all real that my heart is finding it hard to believe its over. Wish I could switch my emotions on & off the way guys do.
