Welcome to the board bunnyslippers86,

It is very clear to your bf needs some to get help from a qualified doctor, and quickly. It sounds like he could be bipolar or schizophrenic or something. You are not going to be able to help him. Please do everything in your power to get him to see

Welcome to the board bunnyslippers86,

Are you able to talk to his parents and get them involved to get him the help he needs?

He is right. He family has a lot of problems relating to each other which has affected him and his relationships. he needs a Dr.s help but you can' force him to go. Can you talk to a family friend or someone who could take him? If he contacts you, tell him that you can't agree to see him unless you take him to a Doctor. But don't become his long term caretaker.
