I have been with my boyfriend for almost 3 years now although most of the first two were spent in different cities. I moved back to the same city a year ago and we decided to live apart first to allow the relationship to progress naturally. Although I am not sure I am ready to live together, I feel like I have no idea how I fit into his life in the future. I feel we have major communication problems in the sense that we very rarely discuss our relationsip and needs to eachother.
Personally I know I have a difficult time bringing this stuff up and recently had to initiate a dialogue via email because i was never getting around to doing it in person. Its like I get stage fright.

I need some communication advice or tools given that we obviously both have a difficult time confronting and discusing issues concerning our relationship. Although we do eventually do it (every 6 months or so), I would rather keep an open dialogue and discuss things more often. I'm just not sure where to begin. Is initiating discussion by email or a letter a bad thing?

I completely understand! When you get some time, check out the links below for some great tips...
